About MeWelcome to room 303! I am so happy to be your child's teacher this year! I look forward to getting to know your child, and watching them grow as students and individuals.
I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in elementary education from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. I taught 3rd grade for five years in the Ferguson-Florissant School District before I decided to be a stay at home mom. For ten years I was blessed to be able to stay at home with my own three children! Last school year I transitioned back into teaching in the Edwardsville School District as a 2nd grade teacher at Leclaire. I am very excited to be back in the classroom full time, teaching 2nd grade at Leclaire for a second year! My husband and I are the proud parents of three wonderful but busy children. Emily is 14 years old, Luke is 11 years old, and Lauren is 9 years old. We have no spare time, as we are continuously running from one activity to the next, as I am sure most of you do too! I think parent/teacher communication is the most powerful tool we have. When your children know we are on the same page, they understand they are accountable. I look forward to working with you as well as your child this school year. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me with questions or concerns. I know we will have a wonderful year! |
